CONSTRUCTION: bottom-up, front and back worked separately, drop shoulder, tapered sleeves, open front, buttons

FOR THIS PROJECT YOU WILL NEED:

Medium worsted/aran weight yarn or any yarn that meets the gauge. Two contrasting colors of your choice

5.5 mm (I) crochet hook (or other size hook to meet the gauge)

2 buttons (5 cm/2 in diameter)

stitch markers

needle to sew in the ends

CONSTRUCTION:

It’s a bottom-up cardigan, working separately the back and 2 front parts. Sleeves are worked after joining the front and back parts on the shoulder line and the sides. The back and both front parts are rectangles, no increases or decreases were used to shape it. Both: front and back parts are worked using inset mosaic crochet. This pattern creates the design on both sides: the inside and the outside of your cardigan. Whether or not you will be able to wear the cardigan both sides out, depends on how neat you join the parts. The sleeves are worked in continuous rounds with no slip stitches to close the rounds and with decreases every few rounds to shape the sleeve.
