Hello, I’m Daiga Talentiene, the designer and creative heart behind BebaBlanket.

Crochet has been part of my life not just as a craft, but as a way to express creativity, curiosity, and love for beautiful details. I specialize in creating intricate geometric mosaic crochet patterns — designs that may look complex at first glance, yet are thoughtfully created to be enjoyable and accessible, even for beginners.

My journey as a designer began in 2018 when I released my very first crochet pattern. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a vibrant connection with makers around the world. In 2023, I was deeply honored to be named THE MOST POPULAR DESIGNER on Ravelry (the source: Woolpatch Knitting & Crochet Patterns of 2023 | Which patterns have been 'Hot Right Now' on Ravelry for 2023 - YouTube. This recognition means so much to me — but even more meaningful are your stunning projects created using my crochet patterns.

One of the things I love most about designing is solving creative puzzles. Along the way, I have developed several original techniques to help crocheters achieve flawless, professional-looking results with less effort and more joy. These include:

Double Border. Easy Start. Three Magic Steps — for clean edges, no slip stitches, and a polished professional-looking border to hide the tails of overlay mosaic crochet
Invisible Join. How to start and finish every round — for seamless center-out overlay mosaic crochet that looks awesome not only on the front side, but also on the back.
How to start rectangular center-out overlay mosaic crochet patterns without pattern obstruction — innovative approach to rectangular center-out designs
Two-sided mosaic crochet
Solid mosaic crochet (no tails!)

Every technique I create comes from the same intention: to remove frustration and add confidence. I want you to enjoy the process just as much as the finished piece.

I’m passionate about my crochet journey and love sharing what I’ve learned! You can find my experiences, tips, and many step-by-step video tutorials on the BebaBlanket YouTube channel.

Mosaic crochet is magical to me — the rhythm of stitches, the geometry, the way colors interact to create striking patterns. Through BebaBlanket, I hope to inspire you to explore that magic, trust your skills (and improve them!), and create something you are truly proud of.

Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey.

A huge THANK YOU to my amazing teams of patterns testers, translators and tech editors!

All my patterns have been created solely using my imagination. No images or other patterns in any technique were used as inspiration. Any resemblance to other patterns (if any) is purely coincidental.

With love,

Daiga
